My Story
I am a nationally recognized and experienced naturopathic physician and medical director of Fairfield Family Health based in Fairfield, CT.
Clinical
My passion for naturopathic medicine began at an early age where I grew up watching the benefits of alternative healing practices.
During my adolescence, my mother struggled with lupus and rheumatoid arthritis and conventional treatment fell short of meeting and looking at her needs holistically.
When I learned about naturopathic medicine after graduating from Cornell University and working in the business realm, I returned to school to complete my pre-medical requirements in order to attend a medical program for naturopathic medicine.
My work has matched the passions I’ve had as a child.
My areas of expertise are in Lyme disease and other tick borne-illnesses, autoimmune conditions, PANS/PANDAS, women’s health, allergies, and anxiety and depression.
I am an active member of the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society (ILADS), American Academy of Environmental Medicine, Medical Academy of Pediatric Special Conditions, American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and Connecticut Naturopathic Physician Association.
I have received specialized training in Lyme disease therapies from Dr. Lee Cowden, Dr. Richard Horowitz, Klinghardt Academy, Dr. Darin Ingels, and Dr. Ty Vincent.
My office in Fairfield, is the first to provide low dose immunotherapy in the state of Connecticut.
I am a sought-after speaker and present at large conferences like Annual World Congress Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) Venetian, and I have appeared frequently on television, print, radio and podcasts.
I have been published in Real Simple magazine, Under Armour, Fitness Pal, Natural Practitioner, Naturopathic Doctor News and Review, Living with Lyme and the Spa Dr.
Coaching
Not only do I have a track record of success in running a multi-disciplinary integrative medical practice, I also help other integrative practitioners build successful, and scalable integrative medical practices to thrive in both business and life.
This passion is fueled in wanting to see integrative medicine accessible to everyone in the world, and this can only happen if there are more known and successful integrative practitioners.
My interest in integrative medicine was fueled after my mother became sick with lupus while I was an adolescent and I felt a different approach to medical care was needed. Additionally, in my college years, I had an easy knack for mentoring others, helping them interview and prepare resumes, and I was truly excited to see others succeed in their goals and passion.
My work as a coach is a fusion between both of those passions; naturopathic medicine and empowering others.
I have over a decade of experience working as a healthcare executive where I managed multi-million dollar budgets and over 80 staff with a focus on operations, integrated care models, compliance and quality improvement; this makes me uniquely qualified as a naturopathic physician and successful business executive and business owner.
I have also worked in many leadership capacities in the profession at large, serving previously as the president of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and currently serve on the board of Connecticut Naturopathic Physicians Association. I previously served on the national board for the Sickle Cell Disease Association of America, Person Centered Medical Home Committee in Connecticut, and was the chair of the Integrative Medicine taskforce for the Department of Mental Health.
I have my MBA in Healthcare Management from Quinnipiac University and undergraduate degree in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University.
I combine my expertise in business and medicine in both my practice and when I am coaching and mentoring others.
